Our Mission

In today’s current waste system, landscape maintenance, tree trimming, land clearing companies, and municipalities dispose of their vegetative biomass either through their local landfill to be discarded or solid waste facility for incineration. We at UBC see that carbon-rich vegetation has a value and can be converted into several biocarbon-based products, such as organic compost, mulch, biochar, and activated carbon. Through the sale of these products we create a sustainable system that provides beneficial products back to the environment, while also giving back a portion of the profits to the providers of our vegetative biomass feedstock. Through our partnership with the Sunshine State Biomass Cooperative we are able to create a sustainable cycle by creating an incentive based system of beneficial reuse for the biomass we receive.
